Tasawwur-E-Aza 22OCT2014 - Part 2: Final
Second and last in a two part discussion on the 'Tasawwur-E-Aza' ('The Concept of Mourning') with the resident Scholar, Aalim of MWA, Granville, Sydney, NSW, Australia, Maulana Syedna Shoaib Naqvi Saheb.
In this session, at first, expanding on the importance of 'GHam-e-Husain' & 'Azadaari' i.e., mourning the sorrow/loss of Imam Husain(as) due to his sacrifice (Martyrdom) is discussed with a view to its 'objective' meaning(s) as perceived by variety of people and communities. These objectives are described as 'Sawaab' (Recompense), 'Bakhshish Or Tauba' (Penance), 'Tawassul aur Tabarruk' (Intermediation and Blessings from Pious), 'Sunnat ya Riwayat' (Good or Accepted Practice) and 'Wazeefa' (Duty). It is concluded that the most sublime form of 'Aza' (Gham-e-Husain) is to feel it 'internally' (from the heart) as a duty because that shall take it beyond the more self oriented objectives.
Second part of this meet, discusses the importance of 'Shabih' (representation or imaging) and the reasons why they are NOT to be confused as images of Allah (which obviously they are NOT), as they are 'reminders' of the acts and characteristics of personalities such as Ahlul Bayt who are the closest to Allah.
