A full coverage of the first meeting 'Nashisst' of UIA members, literateurs and guests held on 6th January, 2019 in Sydney. Attended by some 30 people, the afternoon was conducted by Mr. Ashraf Shad. The main objectives of the meeting were to pay a tribute to late literateur of Pakistan Mrs. Fahmeeda Riaz, welcome Dr. Akhlaq Gilani with his 'Afsaanchay', very short even one liner stories followed by a discussion and presentations of more 'Afsaanchay'. Special Guest Mr. Yousfani, Consul General of Pakistam in Sydney appreciated the special bond with Urdu literarure and language which brings people together. General (Retired) Sukhdip Randhawa, Indian Army presented his poetry in Punjabi. The afternoon unfolded in four segments: 4. Individual Afsaanchay presentations Participants: Dr. GHazal Khwaja, Mrs. Tehmina Rao, Mr. Arsalan with poetry and a set of Afsaaanchay by Dr. Akhklaq Gilani.
