First Majlis (Gathering) organized by Imam Hasan Centre, Sydney on 11th September, 2018. First in the series of 10 programmes has Marsiya & Soz in Urdu followed by excerpts of the lecture in English by Dr. Ali Al-Hilli of United Kingdom. The programme ends with Nauhas accompanied with Maatam. The session has the following sequence of events: 1. Marsiya & Soz:- Presenters: Iqtedar Abdi & Br. Ahmed Sachoo 2. Majlis:- 1st Mohurrum, Lecturer: Dr. Ali Al-Hilli presents first introductory Majlis with the theme for the series as “Hussain in the 21st century”, in this first lecture Dr. Ali Al-Hilli focuses on the 'mission of Imam Hussain' and how we should take it as a guide to improve the world by starting to improve ourselves first. In future lectures he shall be tackling topical issues in the 21st century such as hijab, medical ethics, parenting, relationships, Jihad, Islamophobia and other important topics. 3.
