Tasawwur-E-Aza 14OCT2014 - Part 1

First in a two part discussions on the 'Tasawwur-E-Aza' ('The Concept of Mourning') with the resident Scholar, Aalim of MWA, Granville, Sydney, NSW, Australia, Maulana Syedna Shoaib Naqvi Saheb. In the first session, starting with the human feeling 'GHam' i.e., Sadness/Sorrow, the Syedna expands on the historical aspects of human behaviour and its expression by prominent personalities such as prophets and cultural leaders across various religions and cultures. The importance of GHam (Sadness) leading to Aza (Mourning) is discussed and its positive effects on a human being's health as well as the necessity for Men to feel 'natural' to cry and 'NOT Bottle Up' sad experiences or losses, is discussed. The significance of 'GHam-e-Husain' & 'Azadaari' i.e., mourning the sorrow/loss of Imam Husain(as) due to his sacrifice (Martyrdom) as felt and commemorated across humanity along with basic reasonings there of are presented at the end of this session.
