A new series especially for 'Lucknow' city describing as a journey of historical and cultural events leading to the changes the city has faced since 1960s. Dr. Anjan Banerjee (lovingly called 'Dada' or 'Da'- awadhi/bengali word for elder brother) conducts this series in his own incomparable Lucknawi style. Although the title was suggested by Iqtedar, it is 'Anjan Da' who has organized the experts and topics for discussion. A longtime friend of Anjan Da, Mr. Mohammad Ahsan, a specialist expert on Lucknow, who is also an author of many books and who has professionally been active as an Officer in Indian Forest Services. The other expert, a schoolmate of Iqtedar, Mr. Vijay Banerjee, an accomplished Radio and Stage Artist, director & instructor in fine arts, and a childhood friend of both Anjan Da and Iqtedar, keeps the discussions even more lively by his 'quips' on language, personalities and situations.
In this 'introductory' session Anjan Da introduces the concept of the series, the two experts and their specialties. This is then followed by a review of the 'cuisine' of Lucknow, the reasons for its changes and its current special status in India.
